Elton John threw a mood tantrum whereas recording his new album, as just-released behind-the-scene footage reveals.
The “I’m Still Standing” singer, 77, introduced the album “Who Believes in Angels?,” his first in 4 years, in an Instagram put up on Wednesday. A joint effort with Brandi Carlile, Andrew Watt and longtime collaborator Bernie Taupin, the LP was recorded in simply 20 days again in October 2023 when John was contemporary off the success of his Dodgers Stadium and Glastonbury performances.
Desirous to create one thing not like any of his previous work, John made the unprecedented resolution to welcome cameras into the studio to doc the making of the album. As clips shared by the Grammy winner in his Instagram put up revealed, the method was something however easy crusing.
“I was a nightmare,” John confesses in a voice-over accompanying the video, which was launched to advertise the forthcoming album.
The icon appeared testy and even livid at instances within the teaser, tearing up a chunk of sheet music after one heated change.
When Watt asks throughout a studio session whether or not John is able to file, the singer dryly responds, “Why do you think I am sitting here?”

Discussing his bouts of frustration, John stated, “The fact is, I used to be exhausted. I had a number of doubt. I used to be a nightmare. I used to be offended, I used to be drained, I used to be irritable.
“I felt, ‘I don’t need to do it.’ “
He caught with the mission, nevertheless, as a result of he realized “there were other people involved, I can’t abandon it.”

“I wished to play higher, sing higher, write higher and problem myself on the age I’m.
