SALT LAKE CITY — Trae Younger hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from past the halfcourt line to provide the Atlanta Hawks a 124-121 victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday evening.
Younger took an inbounds move, dribbled to simply wanting halfcourt and hit the 49-foot winner as time expired whereas being loosely guarded by Collin Sexton, who had seemingly compelled extra time with a tying 3-pointer with 4 seconds remaining.
Younger completed with 24 factors and 20 assists.
Dyson Daniels added 16 factors, seven assists, and 6 rebounds for the Hawks, who snapped a three-game skid.
Clint Capela scored 18 factors and De’Andre Hunter 17.
Lauri Markkanen made a season-high eight 3-pointers and scored a season-best 35 factors for Utah.
Sexton added 24 factors and Walker Kessler completed with 21 factors and 10 rebounds.
Utah scored on 5 straight possessions and took a 114-113 lead on back-to-back dunks from Kessler.
Younger hit a step-back 3-pointer to place Atlanta again in entrance, and fed De’Andre Hunter for an additional go-ahead 3 with 1:57 left.
