Ellen DeGeneres and her spouse Portia de Rossi’s current transfer to the UK won’t come between their friendship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, in accordance with a brand new report.
The comic, 66, and the “Arrested Development” alum, 51, packed up and moved to the Cotswolds in England, leaving their Montecito, California, way of life behind.
The duo, who wed in 2008, grew near the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the royals moved to the neighborhood following their exit from royal life in 2020.
As they get accustomed to life within the UK, it seems as if Harry and the “Suits” alum, 43, are planning to “stay close” to the couple regardless of their trans-Atlantic transfer, a supply advised InTouch.
“Harry has already been giving them all sorts of advice on the Cotswolds,” a supply advised the outlet. “The vibe there is very similar to Montecito, just with a whole lot more rain, and Harry knows it quite well.”
The insider added that for the Sussexes, dropping their shut buddies to England was “pretty upsetting.”
“Ellen and Portia have been absolute rocks for Meghan and Harry from the moment they moved to California,” the supply went on.
“They helped them get settled in Montecito and introduced them to so many great people, they’re such a huge part of Meghan and Harry’s circle.”
The insider added that Harry and the previous actress “totally understand why they’re leaving; they’ve toyed with the idea themselves since the election,” referring to Donald Trump’s election win over Vice President Kamala Harris final month.
“The silver lining, at least as far as Harry’s concerned, is that Meghan might actually agree to go over the UK to visit them,” the supply added.
“Knowing that she’d have Ellen and Portia’s support over there would be a real help and might be enough to get her to change her mind about never setting foot there again.”
DeGeneres just lately dispelled rumors that her and de Rossi’s English countryside dwelling had flooded following Storm Bert within the UK.
