Rachel Bilson is once again getting candid about her sex life.
“So many women feel like they can’t talk about if they’re not having an orgasm or what’s helping them have an orgasm,” Bilson, 41, explained on a recent episode of her “Broad Ideas” podcast.
“I didn’t have a vibrator until I was in my mid-30s. I hadn’t even tried a toy [until then], and it was given to me as a gift. And then it was like, ‘Oh, this is easy!’ “
The “Hart of Dixie” alum then divulged that she had her “first orgasm” at the age of 20, and said the moment occurred “from him touching me, and it took a very long time.”
“The O.C.” star also tackled comments about not having an orgasm during sex until 38.
“That’s not what I said and that’s not true,” she said. “It took a very long time. It finally happened and then the floodgates opened. It was easier.”
The mother of one continued: “Mostly it was about me and my body and being comfortable and figuring out position and whatnot. Now I can with different partners. It’s learning your body.”
Bilson was previously in a relationship with Hayden Christensen until 2017 and most recently was dating comedian Bill Hader. They split up in late 2020.
She also explained that she “never faked” climaxing, and asked if she was an “a–hole” for never reaching that point during sex.
“I start to go into that people-pleasing thing. Like, am I just a d–k because I never gave [my partners] that?” Bilson wondered.
“It goes against my whole nature of being a people pleaser and putting the dude first.”
The “Jumper” actress’ latest admission comes just a month after she revealed she lost a job after dishing that she wanted to “f–king manhandled” during intercourse.
“I basically got a job, that I already had, pulled from me because I was speaking openly about sex,” she said on the May 15 episode of “Broad Ideas.”
She noted that “this is the first time” she has ever been fired from a project “because of things that were said.”
Bilson has been open about her sex life and appeared on the “Women on Top” podcast early last month to share her favorite positions.
“I like missionary,” she said. “I’ve learned that if you want to have an orgasm during sex, you have to be on top.”
