Notre Dame ladies’s basketball left nothing to doubt this weekend.
The Combating Irish, led by sophomore Hannah Hidalgo, placed on a defensive clinic, smothering the 2 unlucky opponents pitted towards them within the first and second rounds.
Third-seeded Notre Dame on Friday dismantled 14th-seeded Stephen F. Austin, beating the Ladyjacks by a whopping 52 factors within the first spherical. Then, the Irish held sixth-seeded Michigan to a season-low 55 factors within the second spherical in South Bend to advance to their fourth straight Candy 16 on Sunday.
Notre Dame despatched a message to the remainder of the sphere with its back-to-back dominant beatdowns.
