Nikki Haley has blasted lefty MSNBC “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski for sitting down with President-elect Donald Trump regardless of years of viciously criticizing him — suggesting they solely did so to spice up rankings.
Haley, a former Republican presidential candidate, laid into Scarborough and Brzezinski after they revealed on-air Monday that they had a face-to-face with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in a bid to “restart communications.”
“Let’s be clear, Joe and Mika didn’t suddenly see the light, they saw their ratings,” the ex-US Ambassador to the United Nations wrote on X on Monday.
“They realized they needed Trump for their survival.”
She later doubled down, saying on her SiriusXM present: “I mean, let’s be clear. They saw the ratings tank and they realized, ‘Oh, we better get on with Donald Trump or else we’re not going to have a show.’”
Haley ripped the “Morning Joe” hosts, too, for repeatedly tearing her up on their present at any time when she spoke about Trump.
“Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough tore me up when I said anything about voting for Donald Trump or what I agreed with him on, even though I criticized him when I thought he was wrong,” she mentioned.
“I praised him when I thought he was good. They tore me up,” Haley mentioned of the pair earlier than their sudden about-face.
Haley was among the many scores of critics to tear within the defeated MSNBC hosts for his or her flip-flopping hypocrisy, given they’ve repeatedly slammed Trump prior to now as a “fascist” and in contrast him to Adolf Hitler.
Others blasted Scarborough and Brzezinski for his or her “shamelessness” and accused them of “bending the knee” by arranging their first sit-down with Trump in seven years.
The duo opened Monday’s present with the shock revelation they organized the “personal” assembly with Trump after conceding that voters had overwhelmingly made their alternative.
“Five years of political warfare has deeply divided Washington and the country. We have been as clear as we know how in expressing our deep concerns about President Trump’s actions and words in the coarsening of public debate,” Brzezinski instructed viewers.
“However for almost 80 million People, election denialism, public trials, January sixth weren’t as necessary as the problems that moved them to ship Donald Trump again to the White Home with their vote.
“Joe and I realize it’s time to do something different, and that starts with not only talking about Donald Trump, but also talking with him,” she added.
