PONTIAC, Mich. — A physician often called the “hockey doc” for his work with youth groups within the Detroit space was sentenced to not less than 10 years in jail Tuesday for sexual assault and different crimes involving adults and youngsters.
Victims say Zvi Levran groped them after they sought sports activities physicals or therapy for accidents and showered with them after exercises. One man stated Levran carried out oral intercourse throughout an appointment for a hip damage.
The allegations drew comparisons to a different Michigan sports activities physician, Larry Nassar, who’s in jail for assaulting teenagers and younger girls, together with Olympic gymnasts, and for possessing photographs of sexual exploitation of kids.
“As I stand here in front of you, and I see the individual victims who were affected either directly or indirectly from my actions, it is very difficult to try and say anything for myself, and I’m not going to,” Levran, 68, stated in courtroom.
