President-elect Donald Trump was honored Tuesday with a avenue renamed after him in Miami-Dade County, a Democratic stronghold that he flipped by double-digits within the 2024 election.
Palm Avenue, one of many central avenues within the metropolis of Hialeah, which is sort of three-quarters Cuban and Cuban-American, will now be President Donald J. Trump Avenue.
Trump personally signed one of many avenue indicators when he was down within the Sunshine State attending the memorial service of the Palm Seashore Sheriff’s Workplace Motor Deputies.
Hialeah has one of many largest Hispanic populations per capita within the US, and the transfer comes after Trump gained Florida by a landslide in opposition to Vice President Kamala Harris, convincing a big margin of Hispanic voters to go Republican.
“Miami-Dade County strongly supported President Trump during the election, and this designation serves as a lasting tribute to his leadership and vision for our nation,” Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kevin Marino mentioned on X.
