Johnny Gaudreau’s widow introduced the start of the couple’s third little one on Monday, seven months after the tragic dying of the Blue Jackets ahead in New Jersey final August.
Meredith Gaudreau revealed in an Instagram submit she gave start on April 1 to “another baby boy,” Carter Michael Gaudreau, who “looks exactly like his daddy.”
“I had our third baby! 4/1/25,” Meredith wrote. “Another baby boy 🥹💙 Carter Michael Gaudreau – same middle name as his daddy. 8lb 3 ounces, 20.5 inches – exact same as his daddy. He looks exactly like his daddy too 🥰,” Meredith wrote alongside the carousel of images.
“I love you so much my baby! We are going to have so much fun. I can’t wait to give you the best life, my special boy forever.”
Meredith can also be mother to daughter Noa, 2, and 1-year-old son Johnny.
Gaudreau, together with youthful brother Matthew Gaudreau, have been killed when they have been struck by a suspected drunk driver whereas biking on a rural street in Salem County, N.J., on the eve of their sister Katie’s marriage ceremony.
He was 31 and Matthew was 28.
The motive force, Sean Higgins, has been charged with two counts of dying by auto, together with reckless driving, possession of an open container and consuming alcohol in a motorized vehicle.
Matthew’s spouse, Madeline Gaudreau, reposted Meredith’s start announcement.
“My second nephew,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Tripp’s best friend.”
Final December, Madeline welcomed her first little one with Matthew, a son named Tripp Matthew.
Meredith introduced in September she was anticipating her third little one throughout a eulogy at Gaudreau and Matthew’s joint funeral.
“We’re actually a family of five,” Meredith stated on the time. “I’m in my ninth week of pregnancy with our third baby. A total surprise, but again, John was beaming and so excited.”
“I was so nervous because this was, again, a total surprise. But his reaction was just immediately kissing me and hugging me even though I was driving the car. After the initial excitement sank in, every time he looked at me, he would say, ‘You’re nuts, you know that? Three kids?’”
Johnny performed his first 9 seasons in Calgary, the place he earned the nickname “Johnny Hockey,” and spent his closing two seasons in Columbus.
