Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek are reuniting for a brand new four-episode run of “Malcolm in the Middle” for Disney+ — 25 years after the beloved sitcom first launched.
The present ran for seven seasons beginning in 2000 and was hailed for abnormal life via the eyes of a rare teen, now totally grown: Malcolm, performed by Muniz, who has a genius I.Q.
“I have been waiting for this moment for 18 years. Let’s find out where Malcolm and his family are now,” Muniz stated in a video message accompanying the announcement.
The brand new 4 episodes will likely be crafted by authentic sequence creator Linwood Boomer. No air dates have been introduced.
“With Linwood Boomer and the creative team at the helm, these new episodes will have all the laughs, pranks, and mayhem fans loved — along with a few surprises that remind us why this show is so timeless,” stated Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Tv, in an announcement.
“Malcolm in the Middle” initially aired on Fox and ended its run in 2006. It gained seven Emmy Awards — together with one for greatest writing for a comedy sequence — and at the moment streams on Hulu and on Hulu on Disney+.
The announcement revealed a purpose for Malcolm and his dad and mom to reunite: Malcolm and his daughter are drawn into the household’s chaos when Hal (performed by Cranston) and Lois (performed by Kaczmarek) demand his presence for his or her fortieth marriage ceremony anniversary celebration.
