Hilaria Baldwin is trying again at her engagement to Alec Baldwin of their new TLC present.
In “The Baldwins,” which debuts Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10 p.m., viewers will get an inside take a look at the couple’s dwelling life at their five-bedroom Manhattan residence with their seven children.
Within the collection premiere, the previous yoga instructor, 41, opened up about marrying the Hollywood actor, 66.
Alec, who was married to Kim Basinger from 1993 to 2002, stated in his confessional, “After my first marriage, I said, ‘Let’s have a prenup.’ It’s an awkward thing,” to which Hilaria chimed in, “It is awkward.”
“But I don’t actually quite understand what a prenup is, because you’re like ‘after a certain number of kids, it’s this.’ I was like, ‘You know what, I’ll just sign it,’” she added. “Which was probably stupid of me back then. Now, I’d read it again. But I just said I would sign it.”
Hilaria added, “I said I would. And then you’re like, ‘OK, we don’t have to.’”
The pair have seven children: Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo and Marilu, 4, and Ilaria, 2. Alec and Basinger are dad and mom to daughter Eire, 29.
Additionally within the first episode, Hilaria defends her accent, which has sparked criticism over time.
“I love English. I also love Spanish,” she instructed the cameras. “And when I mix the two, that doesn’t make me inauthentic. It makes me normal.”
“I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me sad and hurt and put me in dark places … but my family, my friends, my community are the [people] who speak multiple languages, who have belonging in multiple places, and realize that we are a mix … that’s gonna have an impact in how we sound,” she stated relating to the rumors that her accent is faux.
“That’s normal,” Hilaria quipped. “That’s called being human.”
Days earlier than their present airs, Alec and his different half sat down to debate why now was the correct time to do actuality tv.
“Telling your story is one thing, and showing your story is something else,” Hilaria instructed Folks. “It felt authentic, it felt human. It felt very empowering.”
“We did the show because it’s in place of doing a movie or a play. Now I think to myself, ‘Am I going to be away from my kids five nights out of the week until 11 o’clock at night?’” she added. “For me, work-related things really aren’t that critical anymore. I thought, ‘I get to spend time with my family.’”

“I always joke with her and say, ‘You know where I should be right now, don’t you? “And that’s a joke because there is an actor, Anthony Quinn, who when he was [82] had a child,” he added. “Tony Randall had a child at like 75.”
