Veteran cleaning soap actor Mark Dobies has died at age 65.
The “Guiding Light” and “One Life to Live” star handed away on March 11, based on his New Jersey obituary. A reason for demise has not been revealed.
“A loving father, accomplished athlete, and talented actor, Mark lived a life full of passion, perseverance, and love,” the obituary learn.
“Mark’s warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. May he fly high like his Birds off to heaven,” the obituary added.
Alan Locher, former publicist for “Guiding Light,” posted an Instagram about Dobies’ demise on Wednesday.
Locher known as the information “really sad and unexpected” and stated Dobies died “far, far too young.”
“I was lucky to work with Mark at Guiding Light and always knew him as a genuinely good guy,” Locher wrote, including, “Please keep his family in your thoughts during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Mark. You will be missed! 💔.”
Dobies was born on April 3, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He performed soccer on a scholarship at Delaware Valley College earlier than he pursued his performing profession.
His first on-screen function was within the drama sequence “Fame L.A.” in 1997.
Dobies famously performed Dr. Noah Chase in “Guiding Light” on CBS. He appeared in 14 episodes of the cleaning soap opera in 2000.
The actor later portrayed district lawyer and serial killer Daniel Colson on “One Life to Live” from 2003 to 2005.
