The Federal Commerce Fee on Monday sued Uber Applied sciences, accusing it of signing up some Uber One subscribers with out their information and making misleading claims in regards to the service.
The service prices $9.99 a month and presents reductions on charges related to Uber’s experience hailing and meals supply apps.
Uber falsely claimed that customers would save about $25 a month by way of the service and deceived customers about how simple it was to cancel, the FTC stated within the lawsuit filed in San Francisco.
“Americans are tired of getting signed up for unwanted subscriptions that seem impossible to cancel,” FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson stated. “The Trump-Vance FTC is fighting back on behalf of the American people.”
