A lady was killed early Saturday after allegedly pointing a handgun at state troopers who have been responding to a reported home dispute, police stated.
The incident unfolded round 2:30 a.m. as state troopers arrived at a house on Forrest Drive within the Orange County city of Deerpark, in upstate New York close to the Pennsylvania border.
Officers discovered a person on the entrance porch who advised them a lady inside the house had a knife and a gun.
When the lady emerged minutes later, she appeared to level a black handgun at cops — and two of them opened hearth, state police stated.
The girl was taken to Bon Secours Neighborhood Hospital in Port Jervis and later died.
