Charles Barkley made it clear that his stance about ladies in San Antonio is identical after greater than a decade.
The NBA legend doubled down on his 2014 feedback — that San Antonio is the house of “some big ol’ women” — whereas on the mic at Capital One JamFest, the 2025 March Insanity music competition through the males’s NCAA championship sport Monday.
“Listen, San Antonio is a great city,” Barkley, 62, started. “I wish to say this, y’all are an amazing metropolis. I really like Gregg Popovich and the Spurs. No severely San Antonio, y’all placed on a significant, main, nice present.
“And I want to say this … and yes, y’all got some big bitches here.”
Some folks within the crowd cheered, whereas others booed.
Barkley was bent over laughing whereas Capital One exec Marc Mentry, who was sharing the stage with Barkley, glossed over the second and moved the present alongside.
Shannon Sharpe and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson laughed over Barkley “reigniting his friendly rivalry with the city and their big ol’ women” on their “NightCap” podcast on Monday night time.
Barkley confronted backlash for his offensive feedback about ladies in San Antonio, which he initially made throughout an episode of “Inside the NBA” in 2014.
“Some big ol’ women down there [in San Antonio] … that’s a gold mine for Weight Watchers,” he stated on the time whereas discussing the Spurs.
“Victoria is definitely a secret [in San Antonio] … they can’t wear no Victoria’s Secret down there… They wear bloomers down there … ain’t nothing skimpy down there.”
The previous feedback had been met with call-outs by organizations together with, the Nationwide Affiliation to Advance Fats Acceptance and the Weight problems Motion Coalition.
