A live performance in Melbourne Wednesday night time resulted in a number of followers sustaining accidents after a part of the ceiling collapsed.
The surprising incident occurred when the band Unhealthy Omens was performing the ultimate observe of their set.
Confetti canons fired into the air and appeared to dislodge items of the ceiling at Competition Corridor, seemingly inflicting a number of tiles to fall onto the unsuspecting crowd.
On Fb, one fan claimed that their buddy had been injured by the falling particles.
“My friend got hit with it, soft tissue damage to her hand & maybe broken/fractured fingers. She’s (rightfully) pissed,” the shared.
One other fan commented that their sister had been hit, claiming “Luckily nothing broken but she’s very sore & needs time off work”.
One concert-goer alleged of the harrowing expertise that two ladies had been left “bleeding” by the incident.
“It was actually really bad… Two girls got dragged out in front of me, one bleeding from her mouth and neck, the other from her knee… A bunch of people in the area were scrambling to get out,” the concert-goer stated.
One other fan who was injured within the incident advised Wall of Sound Australia that she was “covered in blood” from a concert-goer subsequent to her.
“I was recording on Snapchat when it happened and my video cut as I got hit and my phone flung a meter away from me as I dropped to the ground, I was covered in blood from the girl next to me and she was very out of it, seems as if she was looking at the confetti and it’s [the debris] bounced off my hand and got her straight in the face,” the Snapchat person stated.
“[The} hospital gave me a medical certificate to cover a few days off and see how it heals up, venue people seemed to care very little but the paramedics on scene were amazing,” the Snapchat person added.
Unhealthy Omens appeared to have been utterly unaware of the incident, as they proceeded to carry out the remainder of the track earlier than strolling offstage and returning shortly after for an encore.
Competition Corridor has been approached for remark and has not confirmed whether or not Thursday night time’s second sold-out present is because of go forward as deliberate.
