Who knew rugby could be this exciting?
Players from the Catalans Dragons and St Helens were forced to run for their lives during warmups for their Super League match on Friday after a bull got loose.
The bull dragged a man around part of the field and then ran around for a bit as players got creative — going into the crowd or behind advertising boards to avoid the animal.
It didn’t help the situation that the Dragons were wearing red tops and, in a plainly bizarre decision, someone decided to continue singing over the stadium PA while the bull was loose.

The resulting situation was a comedic 30 seconds before the bull finally slowed down, seeming to lose interest in the situation.
Other than the handler who was initially dragged for a few yards, the bull did not get to anyone.
The game was played as normal, with Catalans recovering from their fearful moment in warmups to beat the defending-champion St Helens 24-12.
According to The Guardian, the bull was there to advertise the quality of beef in the Pyrenees-Orientales region of France, and the idea came from the Catalans’ owner, Bernard Guasch, who owns a local meat-processing plant.
In fact, three bulls and two cows, all from the same breed, were meant to perform a lap of honor before the game, according to a statement released by the club.

So perhaps the bull had something to be upset about.
Though, in a way, it turned out to be a better advertisement than anyone from the marketing department could have hoped for.
