Women and gents, that is the voice of the UFC –– and he’s not going wherever anytime quickly.
Nonetheless going sturdy 29 years into his UFC tenure, ring announcer Bruce Buffer put a timetable on his profession with the promotion and he’s hoping you continue to see him contained in the octagon in 2035.
“I’m a fan first and an announcer second,” Buffer advised The Publish in an unique interview. “I go out there and give every bit of passion, every bit of lung power, every bit of energy I can to the fighters and the fans because the show’s not about me. It’s about the fighters. It’s about the fans, and that’s what I dedicate myself to. I’m in this for 10-plus years, trust me. I’m not stopping.”
Buffer, 67, started his profession within the UFC Octagon in December 1996 at UFC 8 from Puerto Rico and has been a staple within the promotion since.
