New York Metropolis Council Speaker Adrienne Adams is tossing her hat within the race for mayor after weeks of hypothesis that she’d be a part of the crowded area of candidates seeking to unseat Mayor Eric Adams, in response to a report.
“New Yorkers can’t afford to live here, City Hall is in chaos, and Donald Trump is corrupting our city’s independence,” the council chief instructed Politico in an announcement. “It’s time to stand up.”
Hypothesis about Adams’ late entrance into the mayoral race forward of a Democratic main raged for days main as much as Wednesday’s announcement.
“I never planned to run for Mayor, but I’m not giving up on New York City,” the Queens pol instructed the outlet.
“Our metropolis deserves a frontrunner that serves its individuals first and all the time, not somebody centered on themselves and their very own political pursuits.
