Customers of Reddit and X encountered widespread service disruptions Thursday afternoon — with each platforms experiencing intermittent outages, in line with information from Downdetector.
Experiences of points started spiking round 3 p.m. ET as 1000’s of customers flooded Downdetector, a website that tracks real-time issues and outages throughout web sites and providers.
On the peak, greater than 30,000 customers reported points accessing Reddit, whereas over 15,000 flagged issues with X.
On Reddit, customers cited issues loading posts, logging in and accessing subreddits whereas X customers stated they have been having points with timeline loading, posting and direct messaging.
The reason for the outages stays unclear.
Neither firm has commented on whether or not the problems have been associated or coincidental.
The Put up has sought remark from each firms.
These disruptions observe a string of current tech outages impacting main platforms, elevating renewed issues over infrastructure reliability as extra customers rely upon these providers for communication and content material.
