It’s Babydog’s huge second.
The chunky English bulldog of US Sen. Jim Justice (R-West Virginia) had her first official authorities portrait snapped, in keeping with her social media.
The 60-pound, tan-and-white pet pooch named Babydog might be seen along with her pink tongue poking out over her tiny tooth within the image, which bears the American and Mountain State flags within the background.
“Official headshot just dropped,” reads the caption on the picture posted to her X account on Feb. 28.
The doggo – who has been known as a “fixture in West Virginia politics” – was a key part of Justice’s Senate marketing campaign final yr.
Justice led the Mountain State as its governor from 2016 to January 2025.
“With an unwavering belief in Jim’s leadership, Babydog represents the genuine enthusiasm and trust West Virginians have in his ability to bring positive change,” reads the “Meet Babydog” part of Justice’s marketing campaign web site.
Babydog boasts a mixed practically 10,000 followers on X and Instagram, the place she is seen in images sauntering round authorities buildings, and even palling round with Vice President JD Vance.
“My favorite things are @JimJusticeWV, Wendy’s nuggets, riding shotgun in dad’s Suburban, and napping,” the bio on her X profile reads.
On the Republican Nationwide Conference in July, Justice was barely seconds into his handle when the viewers started thunderously chanting, “Babydog! Babydog! Babydog!”
He replied, “I know that a lot of you want to meet my little buddy, so if Babydog could come on out here.”
To the adoring Wisconsin crowd’s delight, the stubby bulldog reportedly pranced onto the stage, the place she obediently sat on a black leather-based chair for the rest of his speech.
“She makes us smile, and she loves everybody,” Justice mentioned of Babydog, the Washington Publish reported on the time.
Reps for Justice didn’t return requests for remark.
