An emotional Pleasure Reid mentioned she’s “not sorry” that she “went hard on so many issues” because the Donald Trump-bashing anchor broke her silence after getting fired by MSNBC.
“I’ve been through every emotion from, you know anger, rage, disappointment….guilt..that I let my team lose their jobs,” Reid rambled throughout a 10-minute Zoom name to the podcast “Win With Black Women” on Sunday.
The left-wing firebrand has been criticized for her remarks about white folks, together with referring to “white tears,” in addition to a press release that white ladies “did not show up” to vote for former Vice President Kamala Harris within the current election.
Her assaults led President Trump to cheer her ouster, calling Reid a “mentally obnoxious racist.”
However Reid remained defiant on the podcast, which was watched by some 10,000 viewers.
“I’m not sorry. I am not sorry that I stood up for those those things,” Reid mentioned as she ticked off a listing of points her present, “The ReidOut,” repeatedly coated, together with Black Lives Matter, Asian People “being targeted,” Gaza and immigrants.
“But in the end, where I really land… is just gratitude. Just pure gratitude and gratitude. Not just because people would take the time to get on a call like this or to take care of me. But also that my show had value.”
Reid was noticed sporting a fur-like coat and inexperienced baseball cap as she ducked out of her $1 million Maryland residence in unique photographs taken by The Submit shortly after being fired Sunday.
Reid’s ouster was a part of a broader revamp on the struggling cable station, which shuffled various different anchors and canceled reveals hosted by Ayman Mohyeldin, Katie Phang and Jonathan Capehart.
The overhaul comes as new MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler, whose interim tag was eliminated this month, places her stamp on the community after the exit of Rashida Jones.
