Bob Gale, who co-wrote and produced all three “Back to the Future” movies alongside co-creator Robert Zemeckis, isn’t trying to revive the time journey franchise with a fourth challenge.
After being requested about the potential of a “Back to the Future 4,” Gale jokingly advised Yahoo Leisure, “People always say, ‘When are you going to do ‘Back to the Future 4?’ And we say, ‘F–k you.’”
The primary sci-fi flick, “Back to the Future,” premiered in 1985 adopted by “Back to the Future Part II” in 1989.
The 73-year-old famous that the trilogy has already impressed many spin-offs, together with a Broadway musical and a stage manufacturing on Royal Caribbean Cruises.
“Back to the Future: The Musical” opened on Broadway in Aug. 2023 after it debuted in London’s West Finish. The play received the Laurence Olivier Award for finest new musical in 2022.
The present wrapped its Broadway run final month with 500 performances and $80 million price of ticket gross sales, per producers.
“So, my God, ‘Back to the Future,’” Gale added at the 52nd annual Saturn Awards in LA on Feb 2. “I’m going to be doing it for the remainder of my life.”

And whereas Gale isn’t trying to mess with what they constructed, he did reveal that he’s serving to Fox, 63, pen a e-book about his expertise with the films.

He teased that the studio checks in “every six months,” which was “just an exaggeration.”
“You know, we have to say, ‘There are different things that might work.’ Something like that, you know? But to remake the movie or to suggest that there’s a ‘Back to the Future 4,’ it just isn’t in the cards,” Zemeckis continued in Oct. 2024. “I would like to do the ‘Back to the Future: The Musical’ [movie]. I would love to do that. I think that would be great. I floated that out to the folks at Universal. They don’t get it. So, [there’s] nothing I can do.”
However Lloyd, who performed mad scientist Emmett “Doc” Brown, is extra open to reprise his function.
“I would love to do a sequel, but I think Bob Zemeckis and [producer Steven] Spielberg felt that they told the story in the three episodes,” the 86-year-old advised Selection in Could 2023. “But if somebody has a brilliant idea that would justify a fourth film it might happen.”
