John Daly seems to be on the mend after “emergency” surgical procedure and delivered a message to President-elect Donald Trump forward of his inauguration on Monday.
The 2-time main golf champion introduced on Instagram final week — together with an image of him in his hospital mattress — that he wanted hand surgical procedure.
Days later, the 58-year-old Daly was posting a message of help to Trump on the eve of his second inauguration.
“’LFGGGG it’s time! God Bless America @RealDonaldTrump!” Daly wrote of a Time Journal cowl of Trump clearing off the Oval Workplace desk with the caption “He’s back.”
Daly, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump and sometimes refers to him as “Daddy Trump,” not too long ago competed along with his son, John Daly II, on the PNC Championship in late December.
They completed eighth at 20-under par behind winners Bernhard Langer and his son Jason — who beat Tiger and Charlie Woods in a playoff.
The elder Daly hopes to be again on the course as shortly as potential after his surgical procedure and praised his medical crew final week.
“Thank you to Doc (Frederick) McClimans for getting me mended back!” he wrote. “Should be hitting em again soon! Thx for all the messages.”
The surgical procedure was the newest tough go of it for Daly in 2024.
He misplaced his $1.4 million Clearwater, Florida residence throughout Hurricane Helene in October.
“I’m just glad everyone is healthy, that’s the main thing,” he instructed the PGA Tour’s web site. “You live in Florida, you have to understand that’s going to happen, but not like this. I didn’t think it would be this bad. … “The memories is what you miss when you lose something like that.”
