Actuality tv legend turned coverage advocate Paris Hilton is entertaining the concept of working for elected workplace.
The heiress to the Hilton Lodge fortune was a significant booster of a youth welfare invoice that handed in Congress — and has seemingly been bitten by the political bug.
“After coming here so many times over the past couple of years and seeing that my voice really can make a difference, and I can really shine a spotlight on things that are important around the world to make it a better place and safer for children,” Hilton advised a reporter Wednesday in response to The Hill.
“I can maybe see that happening,” Hilton added.
The “Simple Life” star is driving excessive after the Cease Institutional Youngster Abuse Act was handed by the Home and Senate final week.
“Today is a day I will never forget. After years of sharing my story and advocating on Capitol Hill, the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act has officially passed the U.S Congress,” Hilton wrote in an announcement on X.
“This moment is proof that our voices matter, that speaking out can spark change, and that no child should ever endure the horrors of abuse in silence,” Hilton added, tagging conservative legislators Rep. Ro Khanna, Rep. Buddy Carter, Senator John Cornyn, and Senator Tommy Tuberville.
The laws pushes for extra transparency and accountability in youth residential applications and seeks to make sure teen amenities are “safe, supportive, and nurturing environments,” the invoice’s web site reads.
“I worked so hard on this bill the past couple years, just to be here today and see our bill passing Congress has been one of the most incredible moments of my life,” Hilton stated final week, The Hill reported.
“This is just the beginning,” the mom of two reportedly stated. “There’s definitely more to do. I will be coming back to D.C.”
