Fireworks at the Marin County Fair: 9:30 p.m. June 30 to July 4, 10 Ave. of the Flags, San Rafael. The Marin County Fair will host nightly fireworks, shot from three barges over the lagoon in a low-level, safely choreographed extravaganza of music, rockets, Roman candles, comets, meteoric showers and spectacular bursting cascades — all reflected in the water below. Cupertino Independence Day Celebration: 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. July 4, Cupertino.
